At the core of both cars is the same 5.5 liter twin turbocharged LT7 V8. In the ZR1, that engine sends all 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound feet of torque to the rear wheels. The ZR1X takes that same V8 and adds a completely different layer of performance. An electric motor at the front axle contributes an additional 186 horsepower, pushing total system output to 1,250 horsepower.
