Vinfast VF7 Receives 5 Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating
VF7 earns 5-star BNCAP rating with strong occupant protection scores
Bharat NCAP has confirmed that the Vinfast VF7 has achieved a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupants. The tests were conducted in November 2025, shortly after prices for the model were announced, and the rating applies to all five variants: Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity.
In adult occupant protection (AOP), the VF7 secured 28.54 out of a possible 32 points. During the frontal offset deformable barrier test, protection for the driver’s chest was rated weak while protection for the driver and front passenger shins was assessed as adequate. The electric SUV performed better in side impact testing, scoring full marks (16/16) in the side movable deformable barrier test and receiving an ‘OK’ rating in the side pole impact test.
Child occupant protection (COP) also resulted in a 5-star evaluation with the VF7 scoring 45.25 out of 49 points. The model achieved 23.25/24 in dynamic testing, 12/12 for child restraint system installation and 10/13 in vehicle assessment. Its COP score edges ahead of competitors like the Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra XEV 9e by a marginal 0.25 points.
All VF7 variants are equipped with seven airbags, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, electronic stability control and other safety systems as standard. With the model already offered in markets with stricter safety compliance requirements, the results align with Vinfast’s earlier objective of securing a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating for its new eSUVs.
