It cures with moisture—actually drying faster when exposed to it—to create a hard yet flexible finish that bonds tightly to metal and stays bonded as the metal expands, contracts, or takes a blow.
RustSeal is ready to use and can be applied directly to bare metal, treated surface rust, primers, and most existing paints and coatings. Its excellent flow-out and self-leveling characteristics create a beautiful, smooth finish that can stand alone or serve as a rust-preventive primer for any paint system, body filler, or putty. Rated for temperatures up to 600°F, RustSeal also works great as an engine block sealant.
RustSeal applies easily by brush, roller, or spray equipment. For best results, prepare metal surfaces with KBS Klean and KBS RustBlast before applying RustSeal. Note: If RustSeal will see repeated or extended exposure to direct UV light, applying a topcoat is recommended to prevent cosmetic changes to color and sheen.
