We love all the folks that we regularly showcase here on BANGshift.com and one of our favorites is Tommy Lee Byrd, the Hot Rod Hoarder. He hits great events, features some great historical race cars and hot rods, and also has some fun builds like his cool Henry J gasser. So when Tommy puts out a video with the best vintage drag cars of 2025, we’re going to share it because we know these are truly special.

Vintage drag cars come in all shapes and sizes, and I’m fortunate to see LOTS of them each year. Some are stashed away in hidden car collections, while others are put on display at car shows and nostalgia drag racing events. Either way, I enjoy researching old drag cars, and as I was winding down my 2025 season, I realized how many vintage drag cars I had featured in my videos throughout the year. IT WAS A LOT! So I decided to put together this compilation by pulling clips from many of my videos. There isn’t a lot of drag racing action in this video (you can watch some of my other videos to see that), but I figured you guys might enjoy seeing a collection of stories and descriptions about all these cars. There are front engine dragsters, funny cars, altered wheelbase cars, gassers, Super Stockers, altered roadsters and all types of old school door slammers. #dragracing #racing #history
