2026 Renault Duster Teased With Minimal Camouflage Ahead Of January 26 Unveil
New Renault Duster teased with minimal camouflage ahead of January 26 debut
Renault has shared a new teaser of the upcoming Duster, revealing the SUV with significantly reduced camouflage ahead of its global unveil on January 26. The latest footage highlights the vehicle undergoing testing in demanding conditions, offering the clearest look yet at the new-generation model destined for India and other markets.
According to Renault, the new Duster has completed over one million kilometres of validation testing across three continents. In India, trials were conducted in real-world urban environments as well as at dedicated facilities operated by agencies including NATRAX, ARAI, GARC and ICAT.
Visually, the teaser provides a closer look at the SUV’s updated design. The prototype is finished in a patterned wrap featuring Renault’s diamond branding. Key exterior elements include a broad front fascia, wraparound LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, sculpted wheel arches housing dual-tone alloys, roof rails, and a subtle rear spoiler. The rear door handles are positioned on the C-pillars, contributing to a cleaner side profile.
For India, the new Duster is expected to be offered with multiple turbo-petrol options. Higher variants are likely to feature a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine with manual and CVT choices, while more affordable trims could adopt the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit currently seen on the Kiger.
Once launched, the new-generation Duster will compete in the midsize SUV segment against established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate and the Tata Sierra.
More details, including specifications, variants and market rollout plans, will be revealed at the official unveiling.
