JETOUR G700 launches All-Terrain Premium Hybrid Motoring
November 18th and 19th were red letter days for SUV enthusiasts, as JETOUR G700 made its global debut in Dubai, marking a new era of premium off-roading where powerful performance meets elevated comfort.
The global launch of JETOUR G700 was out-of-the-ordinary in many ways. Held at the exotic venue of Bab Al Shams Arena, a part of the Bab Al Shams luxury desert resort, the event brought together more than 800 guests from around the world, including a hundred media representatives, to witness the advent of a new era of premium hybrid off-roading at an event aptly themed as “Beyond the Horizon”.
As the first model of the G Series, the G700 is positioned as an All-terrain Premium Hybrid Off-road SUV and stands for JETOUR’s drive to push the limits and uphold innovation that unifies premium travel and all-terrain motoring. As Mr. Ke Chuandeng, the president of JETOUR International, puts it, “The G700 is more than an SUV. It’s our commitment to protecting dreams, loved ones and the earth we share.”
The day after the launch, the G700 took on the Badayer desert zone off Dubai, during a test drive event for guests, living up to its theme “Extreme Desert Drive”. Nearly 100 media from around the world experienced the new All-Terrain Premium Hybrid Off-road SUV powered by the GAIA Architecture.
Built to endure the desert
Setting new standards for performance in its class, the G700 features the Super Hybrid iDM-Off road system. Its 2.0TD engine with a thermal efficiency of 45.95% is paired with a 2DHT transmission and two-Speed P4 electric motor. (2DHT stands for 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission to combine power from a petrol engine and electric motors.) The G700’s body structure incorporates 35% hot-stamped steel with 90% of the vehicle built using high-strength steel. Its one-piece chassis frame is forged using aerospace-grade 10,000 ton hydraulic technology, achieving torsional rigidity of over 10,000Nm/deg to attain exceptional body stiffness and safety.
The power to conquer terrains
The driving system generates a total output of 665kW (891 hp), the kind of power once associated with V12 engines – just when the classic biggies are bidding goodbye to welcome more fuel efficient turbo machines. The G700 delivers a satisfying 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 4.6 seconds.
One of the challenges of being a hybrid is the near 3-ton weight. Still, the G700 is equipped to deliver relentless acceleration and exceptional grip on soft sand, consistently supplying the strong output to overcome steep slopes.
On the dunes and the arduous stretches of shifting sands, the ability to stay out of and pull out of trouble is invaluable. JETOUR G700 comes with off-road features that make up its technical off-roading expertise. Like classic, capable SUVs, the G700 comes with a body-on-frame design along with a 230mm ground clearance. Contemporary equipment like Smart CDC damping (offering continuous damping control) and an active air suspension system promise all-terrain comfort while the intelligent triple differential lock configuration generates over 20,000 Nm of lock-up torque for extreme traction, as per the JETOUR sources. With a response time of just 20 milliseconds, it creates a comprehensive off-road recovery system by instantly addressing wheel slip and grip, providing power to the wheels with traction and easily recovering the one that got stuck.
The skills and assets of G700 are manifold – the abundance of torque help negotiate turns and climbs effortlessly while the time-tested body-on-frame design accounts for robust rigidity. While coming down a steep slope, Hill Descent Control helps to maintain a steady speed and automatic control. The air suspensions, on the other hand, absorbs impact on rough and uneven terrain, maintaining ride comfort all along.
JETOUR G700 is equipped with versatile adventure capabilities. The G700’s wading depth has been further improved, reaching 970mm. The water and dust proofing (IP68 waterproof standard) witnessed in this vehicle is what crowns it truly as an all-weather, all-terrain vehicle.
JETOUR reveals that the G700 has undergone 1 million durability tests, thus promising long-term reliability along with the capability to tackle extreme road conditions.
With great power comes great comfort
Even as it has all the ingredients for an elevated performance, the JETOUR G700 also creates a cocoon of premium comfort to enjoy that performance in. Intelligent cockpit with four-screen interactive experience and a Lexicon audio system are highlights of the cabin tech. Passenger comfort has been as meticulously treated as the engineering. The Nappa leather cloud seats (called thus as they offer such a soft cuddle) are crafted with 14-layer construction and over 100 meticulous processes. Over 320,000 breathable perforations across the seats and panels are designed to deliver sublime ventilation comfort and heating speed.
While on the move, the earlier mentioned active air suspension (that so far graced ultra-premium vehicles only) scans the road a thousand times a second to deliver constant comfort on urban roads and desert dunes alike.

Impressing the world with design and daring
While it got ready to greet the world, JETOUR G700 competed in the Taklimakan Rally (China’s most demanding and longest off-road endurance event) and completed all ten stages while securing five stage victories. The testing conducted by TÜV Rheinland, one of the world’s leading certification authorities also vouched for its safety, reliability, and excellent environment adaptability.
Besides the product capabilities, JETOUR G700 says hello to the world with sublime design and cultural ethos. Andrew Collinson, Vice President of Design at JETOUR (former Land Rover Chief Designer) has infused the G700 with Himalayan-inspired aesthetics that peaks as graphics in the cabin. At the 2025 Turin Automotive Design Award (TADA), the G700 received the award for the “most innovative design feature”. The launch event in Dubai also announced their prestigious association with contemporary design icon Paula Scher, who will serve as an art consultant for the G-Series.
The grand event also announced the prestigious participation of JETOUR in the Liwa Global Off-road festival. Interestingly, invitation was extended to the first owners of G700 to conquer the world’s highest and steepest Moreeb dune in their capable new G700. Talking about first owners, the stage was graced by EDM artist Alan Walker (who created the anthem of JETOUR) and world marathon champion Sir Mo Farah, who have been honoured as the first owners of the G700.
Beyond being a landmark launch, the event showcased JETOUR’s social commitment and ESG values. From endangered Tibetan antelopes to Cheetah conservation, JETOUR has been converting its technological and mobility expertise into meaningful and socially responsible action across the world.
G700 – charting new territory
A quick, interesting glance at the top-tier of all-terrain fun. The Land Cruiser twin turbo V6 offers 409hp and 650Nm while the Nissan Patrol twin turbo V6 delivers 425hp and 700Nm of torque. In comparison, the hybrid power of G700 is stupendous but the even more attractive promise would be of the fuel economy figures on all terrain. The hybrid territory of all-terrain motoring is also widening with new models soon expected to arrive in the market.
The convention has been to grant the monopoly of off-roading prowess to a handful of adventure vehicles and enthusiasts have been willing for a compromise in comforts while placing capability as priority. The G700 proposes to change that by making off-roading more inclusive – by offering more ride comfort for the family and by making off-roading an accessible lifestyle for all. “More off-road, more premium, more intelligence, more valued ” – that is what JETOUR has designed G700 to offer in assuming the position of a premium off-roader and daily driver!
